qwik510
This raffle is open to everyone in the 510 community. The airdam will be shipped to you. See below! Please buy lots of tickets. The East Coast 510 meet needs your support! Hey all you 510 lovers, How would you like a chance to win a brand new BRE 510 fiberglass Airdam/spook and help out the East Coast Datsun 510 meet at the same time? Dave Patten and Futofab have generously donated one of these fantastic Airdams to help raise money for the Summit Point East Coast 510 Meet. (SPEC510 Meet). Pictures and information about the Airdam and all of the great Futofab 510 products can be seen on the Futofab website. http://www.futofab.com the info below is from their website: This is a high quality fiberglass Airdam made from the original Joe Vondracek / QuikSkins molds. The quality and hours that Joe Vondracek put into these molds is incredible. This Airdam is made using the "Wet layup fiberglass process" We call this the “Orange Line”. The wet lay-up process uses fiberglass in a polyester resin. The mold is first coated with orange colored gelcoat and then 2 to 3 layers of woven fiberglass are placed with the weave at oblique angles to provide added strength. This is backed up with 1-2 layers of fiberglass mat to provide the needed stability and proper strength. The component is then allowed to cure before being removed from the mold. The inclusion of woven fiberglass adds strength and lightness to the part. Most of the gelcoat/fiberglass parts sold today are constructed using only fiberglass mat or chopped fiberglass to reduce cost. An all mat or chopped fiberglass process requires the part to be thicker and heavier to reach the same strength as we achieve by using both woven and fiberglass mat in our parts. One drawback with the wet layup process using mat is the inner surface of parts tends to be more uneven than parts made of all woven materials. They will likely require some additional time fitting a wet layup part where the inner surface contacts the mounting surface because of the unevenness. ******************************************************************************************** We are selling raffle tickets and the winning ticket holder will receive this Airdam including having it shipped to you in the Continental USA. (Any winner outside the Continental USA will need to pay the difference in shipping) Virtual Tickets will be sold and corresponding ticket numbers will be issued to each ticket purchase. Tickets only cost $2 for one (1) ticket or a special price of $5.10 for three (3) tickets or $10 for seven (7) tickets. All proceeds of this will benefit the SPEC510 MEET. Drawing will be held on March 31, 2009. Winner will be notified via email. Payments can be made by Paypal, Personal Checks or Money Orders. qwik510
This is an Update for all of you on the status of the SPEC510 Fundraiser. So far, ticket sales have been good. We have raised some much needed funds to help make this year's event a great one. We will be able to buy lots of goodies for the event. I am hoping to raise even more money so maybe we can do even more great things. So, in order to try and raise even more money, I have decided to extend the raffle drawing date. Hold on, before you get your feathers all ruffled, we will be adding additional items to be raffled off too. This means that instead of your ticket only being able to win the FutoFab BRE Spook/Airdam, you will also have a chance to win more Datsun goodies. The new drawing date will be Saturday, May 2, 2009 . Yes we will hold the drawing during the SPEC510MEET at Summit Point Raceway. You DO NOT need to be present to win. We will notify the winners via email if you are not present at the event. We will ship your prize to you anywhere in the continental USA too. To be fair to the people that have already purchased tickets, we will draw for the spook/airdam first. After we determine the winner for that, we will draw for the additional prizes. We have had a few more donations of items for the raffle and are expecting a few more. The following are some of the additional items. 1. A brand new "DO IT IN A DATSUN" License Plate Frame 2. A brand new roll of NOS Datsun 510 Window Channel Felt 3. A brand new Revell 510 model 4. A very rare Datsun advertising brochure from 1972 that includes pictures of the BRE 510 and 240Z 5. A very nice condition copy of the famous "How To Keep You Datsun Alive" Manual And more to come. So now you will have a chance to win one (or More) of these great items. Tickets are still on sale. Virtual Tickets will be sold and corresponding ticket numbers will be issued to each ticket purchase. Tickets only cost $2 for one (1) ticket or a special price of $5.10 for three (3) tickets or $10 for seven (7) tickets. All proceeds of this will benefit the SPEC510 MEET. Drawing will be held on May 2, 2009. Winner will be notified via email. Payments can be made by Paypal, Personal Checks or Money Orders.
