Archie
:)Well after doing a little more web searching(nissanforums.com) I came across a post solving my dilemma.. Part #812(Precision brand) from Napa is a direct replacement for these "staked in" u-joints. The only drawback is that the caps don't have grooves for the "c" clips and there is no groove in the yokes. A couple of small tack welds securing the clips to the yoke holds everything together fine. I am one the road again!!!! Another post on that web site mentioned "rockforddriveline.com". They sell replacement "staked in" joints for the Nissans. Thanks to all that offered their suggestions/help. Hopefully this info will help someone else out; THX...AL:thumbsup: Quote Link to comment
Duncan
Thanks for the heads up. I have a 1200 drive shaft I pulled from a wrecking yard, and want to replace the u-joints before I install it. I was going to have a driveline specialist deal with the replacements, but I think I can tackle this one myself now. Quote Link to comment
