ImInked Posted January 15, 2009 Report Share Posted January 15, 2009 Hey guys, i've searched all over the place on here to see how to remove the tailgate on a 521 and didn't see anything. both hinges are welded and the pin sleeve is pinched on both ends. would it be safe to say that i need to open the pinch up to remove the pin? i'm scratching my head on this one. any help would be great! :( Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun Posted January 16, 2009 Report Share Posted January 16, 2009 usually only 1 side is pinched..well mine was anyway. Yeah open 1 end up, use a small punch to hammer out the pin. When i reinstalled mine i put a coat of grease on em. Quote Link to comment
