RLJ Posted August 29 Report Share Posted August 29 Has anybody installed an aftermarket tach in the stock 1972 510 dash that didn’t come with a tach. Looking at Speedhut 2-1/16 tach. I’ve used there tachs before and it’s a quality product. Wondering if anybody’s done it before. My car has clock in the dash that doesn’t work. Thinking of installing the tach there. The housing behind the clock is approximately 2-1/16 ID. Speedhut’s gauges install with a threaded ring that would be behind the panel. Not sure if the ring would fit. Saw an old Sunnen mini tach installed on the steering column in a 510. Finding and buying a working Sunnen mini tach is a crap shoot as they’re not made anymore. Everything I see online aftermarket is made in China and has not so good reviews. Speedhut is made in USA and is good quality just not sure about the fit. Quote Link to comment
