4X4 Engine

Recommended Posts

Hi brains trust, looking to get some help pulling the z22 out of my 1984 nissan 720 4x4, I cannot figure out how to attach photos otherwise I would, I have blocked up the cabin on the chasis mounts so I can lift the engine higher up without hitting the body so that I can clear the oil pan from the front diff/axle. It seems to be moving around but I cannot pull it forwards out of the transmission, I was wondering if anyone has any advice on getting it out, do I need to remove the driveshafts or something? Not sure how to proceed. Thanks.

Okay so when I was jacking it more the tranny slipped out of the driveshaft (fluid is everywhere now), I couldnt really go back to tranny went up with the engine (No bellhousing bolts so man that was a bad idea) couldn't clear the front so I mutliated the front with a grinder pulled it forward and both are out now. So Ig if your too lazy to remove the front diff the process would be, drain and disconect tranny and engine from stuff, cut out the front (unless u have a big enough crane), block the cabin up off the chasis and pull the engine and tranny out together.
