  1. Mines 1984 but im pretty surely earlier models had L18s and 20s
  2. Z24 (swapped from z22) is going into it
  3. Yeah definitely agree, thats why im restoring a 40 year old truck lol 😆, definitely gonna give it a good rebuild, the water parts definitely been run without anticorrosive coolant sadly though but should come up good enough
  4. Yeah I think it is quite old says made in spain, Ill measure the bores later, it will hopefully be going onto a z24 but worst case it doesnt look too bad to change it over to electric or manual choke but im not sure which one is the best water choke seems pretty cool in my opinion.
  5. Yeah glad you guys agree, will definitely need a rebuild but it was only 15 bux for a genuine Spanish one
  6. No worries lol mine would need a revuild anyway im not sure how id plumb the thing in is all pretty skinny pipes
  7. File sizes were too big to put in one comment.
  8. Picked up what I'm hoping is a webber 32/36 to go on my z24, I tried to google the tags but cannot figure out what it is. It certainly looks like one to me, with I'm guessing a water choke. Any opinions on the water choke as well, are they easy to plumb in and good or should i try and switch it to electric or even manual?
  9. I may explore the project more later on in my build
  10. Awesome, so you've done the swap? how were the results?
  11. Thats interesting with the coolant and oil holes, is there detrimental effects of blocking off the holes for the engine?

    Ka24 in a 720

Looking at mods way down the line, but really just theoretical stuff: I recently realized a ka24 head will fit onto a z24 block, So would it be a simpler swap to say put a ka24de head onto a z24 block so (in my case with a 4x4) the oil pan has no alignment issues, the engine mounts can remain the same and the transmissions and everything can be left alone. Curious if anyone has attempted such a swap, and what kind of pitfalls there would be for this idea. Thanks.
  13. Fair enough I guess lol, but Im almost of the mind I could literally carry 3 spare knock offs for the price but probably best to 'buy once and cry once'
  14. Yeah the engines are the same except most of the heads on the napzs are single spark plugs
