ripfools
Heya! I just recently got a '84 Nissan 720 4x4 pickup, 1st and 2nd will pop out of gear without the clutch depressed when running or not, What would be the likely cause of this? To get it set it first I have to shove and hold it into the far upper left, like it's outside of the proper H pattern? 3rd through 5th gear + Reverse will not do this. The clutch is also very loose. I am aware of the clutch slave cylinder being done semi-recently, but I have no idea if that is at all relevant? I am not terribly experienced with older trucks, and I know buying something like this was a handful, but I am doing my best to try and enjoy my truck!! (if this is not the proper forum space to ask this question, I do apologize, and will post to the appropriate place in future!) Thank u 🙂 ! Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Well it's nothing that can be set right with the transmission in the truck. Quote Link to comment

Haha, yeah I was afraid that would be the case. I dont have much of a space for a full transmission rebuilt, nor the knowledge. Hmm. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I should imagine it's the 1st/2nd hub synchronizer area. Quote Link to comment
