1977 200sx dash light replacement

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon All,  hope everyone is having a great weekend.  I am removing the dash to replace the pad and thought it would be a good time to replace the old dash light bulbs with LED options.  Has anyone done that in the 200sx?  any brand recommendations?  I have searched the Forums but not finding a thread.  thanks

I cannot locate anything about the dash illumination. There is the canister with a bulb with fiber optic cables for the headlight and wiper switch and maybe others. There were a lot of changes in dash lights in around '80. Which style do you have?

sorry for the delay, life got in the way again...lol   I have the type second from the left for the gage cluster.  I have found some sylvania bulbs that are white and some that are yellow.  I don't remember if the dash lights seemed yellow to me?  I guess that I want the whiter light?    Also,  the other bulbs not in the cluster are 12V 3.4 watt metal base push and turn type.  I have looked in local parts stores and cannot find that exact specification.  I find some 14V with lower wattage.  would putting a 14V bulb in the dash cause any electrical issues?   thanks
