Berkybot
I don’t know anything about fuel injection and I am close to purchasing two 300zx, both naturally aspirated. What can I do to make them run better, be a bit faster, and over all some quality tlc. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Well if running and you don't have any idea how they were maintained I would replace the fluids, oil change 10w30 Rotella T4* and WIX or NAPA Gold filter, differential GL 5 80w90, and transmission oil GL 5 80w90 or DEXRON if automatic, flush the brake system DOT 3. Flush cooling system and refill 50/50 anti freeze and distilled water. Then a tune up including NGK plugs and wires. New premium** brake pads if needed. Inspect all belts and hoses and replace as needed. New fuel filter. * this is a light diesel oil that still retains the high anti scuff ZDDP levels that were used when this car was new. Today's oils after '93 have been steadily reducing the ZDDP and is now about half what it was. **Good pads can shave dozens of feet off your stopping distance with no other change. This should bring the car up to near stock performance and probably an improvement over running now. Quote Link to comment
