Daryl S. Posted September 18 Report Share Posted September 18 Considering if there might be any advantages to using the newer 240SX clutch assembly in place of the stock 240Z? First, would the 240SX pressure plate bolt in place? It looks like they are both 225 mm, but can't find other info, except a different bearing collar. Clamping pressure? Weight? If it would have a slight advantage in clamping pressure and drop in weight, it would be an easy upgrade. Thanks Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted September 19 Report Share Posted September 19 The '73 Z car PP is 550 Kg clamping force. I doubt the earlier ones were more. There is an Exedy replacement 225mm PP for the S12 that is about 817kg and is 40% stronger so this would make the original about 575Kg which is close to the 240z PP.
