johnsontf Posted September 1, 2023 Report Share Posted September 1, 2023 When I fill my tank and fuel creeps up the fill hose to shut off the pump, I get leaks coming from where the filled hose meets the top of the tank. It leaks a lot for a moment then stops. This makes me think there is a leak in either the breather hose area or the fill hose. Are either a common issue? I am trying to track it down but I can only see when its actively leaking, then fuel dries up and I can't see where its coming from. Quote Link to comment
NC85ST Posted September 1, 2023 Report Share Posted September 1, 2023 Replace both hoses. It’s over 35 years old. I had to replace the fuel filler neck hose on my ‘85 when I first bought it over 10 years ago. If nothing else, it’s preventative maintenance. Quote Link to comment
