richURVAN Posted July 28, 2023 Report Share Posted July 28, 2023 Hey there, I recently acquired a 92 Nissan D21 diesel truck with the TD25 non-turbo diesel engine so slow as fuck but very reliable (or so I'm told). Now I want to give it a mechanical overhaul and not sure where to start. Does anyone know what are the things that generally go on these engines. I previously owned a D22 3.0L turbo diesel (ZD30) and had to replace the rear main oil seal and changed the clutch at the same time, blocked the EGR valve and fitted an Intercooler, all recommended on another forum. It's done over 200k and 30 yrs old so maybe I want to replace the timing chain for peace of mind. The clutch has a bad judder. Plus I need to service brakes and tyres.
