dat_sun720
Ever since I've tuned my carb and timing, starting the truck has been challenging. The starter would barely turn the motor over when its cold and just wondering if it's a electrical issue or I just need to replace the starter. I asked some techs at nissan and they were as confused as I was. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Clean and tighten the battery posts and clamps. Check the ground connection on the intake and the positive on the starter lug are clean and tight. Boost from a known good battery, this will eliminate the battery as the cause. Confirm the timing is 50 on a Z22. Too advanced will fire backwards against the starter slowing it. 1 Quote Link to comment
dat_sun720
New problem, when ever I go into a drive thru I turn off the truck because it's pretty loud. When I go back to turn it on it takes quite a few tries to get it back on. The battery is brand new and all the connections are solid Quote Link to comment
dat_sun720
Problem is no more, I got a timing gun and my timing was way off and got it to 5⁰ Quote Link to comment
