1986//720//Radiator//Coolant lines

Recommended Posts

Good evening my Ratsun brethren!

I finally got my Datsun running and everything was going great, drove it back and forth to work for a solid 2 weeks. When I was feeling optimistic and went to go through DEQ (OREGON) I failed but isn't my issue.

I went to drive home and blew a coolant line and steamed all over the engine bay, long story short I am curious to the coolant lines with a weber carb because previous owner had two coolant lines capped with a Allen key and hose clamp... (When it blew it was because I tried to clean the engine bay up and I used a vacuum cap which melted and also shot off entirely.)

My suspicion is that one of the capped lines was meant to return to the coolant system? Either the coolant resivoir tank or potentially engine block?

So that is my main question?

Not seeing a question.

Do you mean radiator hose???? Heater hoses????

You say '86 D21?????? The 720 ended in '86 and the D21 began so what does the build date on the driver's door say???? The D21 is EFI throttle body so someone swapped a Weber carburetor on???

Seriously you need to post some pictures of what you have.
