billyd
1984 Nissan 720 base 2 wheel drive short bed z24 engine 5 speed The two rubber boots that go over the top of the ignition coils have up on them does that mean the coils need to be turned in a certain position for them to fire right I'm kind of new to the z24 engine and that's just something I've never seen before Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
No just the rubber covers. I think there is provision for drainage of any moisture on them and that has to be at the bottom. The coils them selves will fire in any position you place them just like a sandwich tastes the same if you eat it standing on your head. 1 Quote Link to comment
billyd
Ok thanks one other question do they have to be mounted in the hangers and mounted for them to fire correctly Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
They can be mounted any way you want though the stock way seems to be the best. I would avoid mounting them to the engine though to avoid vibration and heat. Quote Link to comment
