Mikuni PHH44 jetting

It was suggested that I come here to seek advice for jetting because you all have more experience with Mikuni PHH side draft carbs. I have a PHH 44 S5.

The car isn't a Datsun, but is a '76 California spec MG Midget with a stock 1500cc engine. This carb hasn't been on the car yet.

 

Currently set up with:

Venturi: 34
Main jet: 150
Main air jet: 200
Pilot jet: 57.5
Pump nozzle: 40

It has dual carbs? Might be a bit much for a 1500.

 

Jetting sounds about right, but it really depends on many factors. How does it run?

Just one carb. I haven't installed it yet, so no idea on how it runs. I need to replace the exhaust system as well at the same time I install the carb and intake. The exhaust manifold is cracked. Gonna use a Maniflow system from the UK.

The jetting sounds like stock baseline Mikuni jetting.

 

I'd try it first and see how it runs.

 

I have a single PHH44 on my 1275 Sprite and it runs great. I could check that jetting and let you know what it is. I've got a built motor though with a huge cam and a giant header. Might be an apples to oranges comparison.

Yes, it is baseline jetting. I'm curious what your jetting is, but it might mean nothing since the motors are very different.
