azfiredog300
I have a 1984 720 4x4 with manual locking hubs. One of the hubs is locked up and I can't find any info on how to disassemble them to repair. They don't have a brand name on them so I assume that they are original, and they don't look like any that I searched on you tube. I can't figure how to add the picture so you can see. Does anyone have any idea how to disassemble them? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Have you tried backing up to release it? Quote Link to comment
azfiredog300
Yes, still no luck. I've pulled it off the truck and still can't get it to release. I'm sure it's got gunk from the previous owner so I'd like to disassemble and clean then lube and reassemble. Trouble is my manual doesn't even show how to do it. Quote Link to comment

You need the Nissan Factory Service Manual or FSM Looks like 6 Torx bolts in a circle. Pull the free wheeling hub outward to expose a snap ring. Remove it and pull the drive clutch out. There's more but a special tool or procedure is needed to get the wheel bearing out. I doubt you need to go that far. Quote Link to comment
