Hello everyone. So I have a 78 datsun 620 and doing the ka24de truck motor single carb swap per below.

https://www.ebay.com/i/293032617138?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=293032617138&targetid=934800884336&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9029703&poi=&campaignid=10459841982&mkgroupid=104612011860&rlsatarget=pla-934800884336&abcId=2146002&merchantid=113614292&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInYaizar07AIVTtbACh2e-Ah7EAYYBCABEgJFq_D_BwE

is this the engine that can take the l20b distributor with oil pump and pump shaft formthe conversion to msd ignition? Has anyone done this swap that is still on the site to answer a few questions!  I have the 240sx 5 speed as well and wonder if it bolts up to this truck engine. Also if I use the original distributor how does this carbed engine run?  Does it have a computer and is this a high pressure system or low?

This is not a carburetor KA24DE. It's throttle body injection (TBI)

Yes you can put an L20B distributor on it where the red plug is on the right front in the picture. Get an EI L20B distributor and totally forget the MSD they're a waste of money doing exactly what the EI does. The KA24DE does not use a distributor, as such, but a CAS (crank angle sensor) and again it's not a carburetor engine its a high fuel pressure for the EFI (electronic fuel injection). Yes the S13/14 5 speeds will bolt to the truck KA24DE engine. Do you have a flywheel on this thing?

What has been done, is to remove the TBI and make an adapter plate that bolts on to the intake in it's place. Drill and tap it to take a 32/34 Weber carburetor  that will work with a low pressure electric fuel pump. get an EI L20B distributor. Contact ]2eDeYe on here who sells KA engine and transmission mounts for the 620. The drive shaft will need to be shortened.
