73_620
First time posting I've been reading the forum for almost 3 days straight now. Will a gas tank from a 77 KC for in a 73 single cab? Mine didn't have a gas cap and was sitting for awhile, but found one close to me. If not, how hard is it to reseal one? I've resealed motorcycle tanks but never one from a truck/car. datzenmike
The '73-'77 were basically the same and will bolt onto the box. There was a change in '75, probably the addition of a fuel return line used on the new L20B engine but you could just seal it off and not use it. The '76 and '77 were plated inside, some tin some zinc (galvanized) to reduce rust formation I think California tanks were much different probably emissions related. They should bolt on but... ? '78 and '79 on bolt to the frame at the front and not the box so I wouldn't bother with those. Quote Link to comment
