Nissan rust
I have a 82 720 pickup with the 2.2 I can't find a long block for it they don't make them anymore I was wondering if the 2.4 Z Motor would bolt into it 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Only find them in wrecking yards or for sale in '81-'82 720 and 82-83 S110 200sx. The Z24 is identical to the Z22 but 3/4" taller. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Physically they are so close to the same it's hard to tell by looking. The Z22 uses a cast valve cover while the Z 24 is stamped steel but they interchange. Because of the 3/4" difference in height the top 2 front L&R timing cover bolts are differently spaced. The Z24 head has squarish intake ports and matching intake rather than round on the Z22 but you can't see this. The engine identifier is stamped just below the head, on the top of the block between the two pair of exhaust pipes... 1 Quote Link to comment
