Theballinstallin Posted January 21, 2020 Report Share Posted January 21, 2020 August 2019 I bought my 1980 nissian datsun 720. It sat in a field in new mexico for about 10 to 15 years. I am trying to find either a l20b engine block in case mine is bad ( i am getting ready to pull the engine) or find out how difficult or easy a i6 swap would be. i apppericate all any and all help. I'm not sure if the engine block itself is any good. when i pulled the head off there was water in second cylinder and the fourth. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted January 21, 2020 Report Share Posted January 21, 2020 You mean an L6 six cylinder 280z or zx engine? Yeah that's not going to work. The sensible thing is a newer 4 cylinder that does fit and is lighter and more powerful. Find out if the block just needs to be over bored and new pistons and rings put in, making it a new engine.
