Datsun 720 cluster in a 85 Nissan 720?

I just got a nice crack free Datsun dash with everything in it. The plugs on my 85 Nissan 720 are the same the blue one and white one but the wire colors are different. My question is can I just plug the Datsun cluster in and it will work or do I need to swap to the Nissan 720 cluster?

  Keep your '85 wire harness in/under the dash and it will work with your '85 cluster.

It might work. Keeping your gauges and wiring it will.

 

I swapped some 4x4 harnesses before and when plugged in, the left turn turned on the oil light so I pulled the pin out of the plug and put it in the right place. The removed wire went where the oil light wire went and the removed wire was the right turn and so on until all 10 pins were moved to the correct places. Only thing I couldn't figure out was the blue high beam indicator. But I did get everything else correctly working. I think it was an '85 dash gauge harness but an earlier main harness..

Ok I’ll just swap out the cluster to make it easier on myself. Thanks for the quick replies.
