ThatOneDatsun Posted November 1, 2019 Report Share Posted November 1, 2019 Need help finding the front cover "bearing retainer" to a 1981 Datsun 720 4x4 If anyone could send me a link to buy one it would be mich appreciated its been a hard time trying to find one. The cover broke because i was trying to pull off a siezed release bearing. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted November 1, 2019 Report Share Posted November 1, 2019 Remove the 5 mounting bolts and hammer the pivot ball with a socket extension to remove. Any 4 or 5 speed 71B cover plate will work for you with the exception of those made after '84. The difference is the early one you have have a 56mm counter bearing cavity and those after '84 are 62mm. Most are aluminum but in rare cases they are steel. Both would work the same. The Nissan part number is 32111-E9013 for aluminum and 32111-E9012 for the steel one. About $50 but try the classifieds... https://ratsun.net/classifieds/category/9-datsun-parts/ ... someone may have one laying around.
