frankendat Posted October 31, 2019 Report Share Posted October 31, 2019 My goal was to locate a 1980 Datsun 4x4 to eventually cannibalize for my LJ20 project. By doing general drive train swap, I was hopeful to save searching for a bunch of the smaller parts. In the last 3 months I have come close to purchasing 2 1980 Datsun 4x4's, but all have fallen through. There is a 1980 Datsun 2wd on craigslist. It has high mileage, but claims engine "gone through". If I tried to use the 2wd for my 4wd drive project, then I would be missing the transfer case, the front differential and the front driveline. Can you think of anything else that I would be missing by using the 1980 2wd for my 4wd swap project. Quote Link to comment
