'70dime
I know this is a question offered many times and I've looked at the page on dime quarterly. But I'm looking some either 14x6 or 15x6. http://www.diamondracingwheels.com/stockcar.html What back spacing should I use? Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
You need to measure up and over from the hub face to the strut. So measure half the wheel diameter up from the hub using a short straight edge flat to the hub face but in line with the strut, then measure from that point over to the strut. That should give you a ballpark backspacing and then you can see if you need to come out any for tire/spring clearance. Take into account that wheels are typically about an inch wider at the lip than they are spec'd (eg a 14x6 wheel is physically more like 15x7). The backspace is taken from the lip, so that isn't affected, but where I said measure half the diameter up from the hub will probably need to be half the diameter plus half an inch.
