But thanks for the replies. Look at the picture again! This is the air box from a Z car after smog rules went into place that I used as an example. This is a "wingbolt" about 3.5" to 4" long that has a little flange and a contained rubber washer. Two of them clamp the top of the air cleaner to the air cleaner base, holding it and the air filter(s) in place. These are on the air cleaner box for early Z cars and 510 SSS with SU carbs. I could just use a bolt with a washer, but I'm trying to keep it original. Edited October 31, 2008 by dgi Link to comment
