Ricebiker
I think it's the fuel pump?! It was running strong and then out of nowhere it started slowing down and I could barely keep it running. Sounded fuel starved. It'll start, but I have to keep the pedal to the floor, and then it just barely idles. datzenmike
Change the fuel filter. It's likely due for changing anyway even if it doesn't fix the problem. Look on the front of the carb. There is a glass bull's eye. Is the fuel level showing??? If yes you have lots of fuel and it should run. If still running with pedal to the floor likely a blocked jet. 1 Quote Link to comment
Ricebiker
Ok thanks. Carbie cleaning time anyway. Probably never done. I'm the second owner, 104k miles. 1 Quote Link to comment
Ricebiker
Yes! New fuel filter. Definitely fuel behind sight glass, gave it a good spray and seems to be back to normal. Quote Link to comment
