Going to purchase an l18 and 5 speed package.

What engine mounts and gearbox cross member do I use.

Use the L 18 engine brackets, the metal things bolted to the block on each side. The engine mounts are the rubber things between them and the frame.

That said the J series engine mount position and where the frame meet are much different than the L series, at least the J13s are. You will need to address the frame position for the L18 first. I'm saying the L18 won't just drop in and bolt to the frame.

Without knowing which of the possible (at least three) L series 5 speeds you have this can't really be answered. Post picture of transmission. Sometimes sellers don't know what they have, might be a four speed.

And will I be able to re use my loom or grab o from something else?

Thanks guys

Both engines have similar starter, ignition and alternator systems so I would think it would be very easy to wire the L18 in.

Hey Eccles, I'm on there too! It's a 5 speed floor shift and has told me it lines up. I tried to get some more info out of a few bloke but just told me the basics.

Really wanted to know what was does to the mounts to make them fit or if there are other mounts I can use?

I'll add you on Facebook mate just to get some more info
