4G 210
Has anyone converted from power to manual brakes? I've stripped this thing down to bare bones and need the room for my intake manifold. Would love to read any experiences Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I would find another way. Cut a notch in the back of the intake and weld it up... no one will see and it won't affect anything. Power brakes reduce your effort needed to brake effectively. You put in 80 pounds and it increases it to 800 PSI. At maximum braking effort it will be easier for you to control the car. If going to larger calipers (I hope this is in the plans) you will need a larger brake master and that will only increase the amount of fluid and effort needed to move it. Adding power to a car and then taking away from the brakes is kind of backwards thinking. Quote Link to comment

4G 210
I plan on using the zx fronts and the ford rear discs. I'm afraid the rear calipers may need more fluid, so I haven't really decided on anything yet. I do think It would be better to keep the booster. Cutting the manifold may be the easiest option. Thank for the link Indy. some good ideas in there too. Quote Link to comment
