B210ratsun
Anyone know where I can get some new leaf spring pads? I see summit sells a few different ones but they mainly seem to be for a Nova or a Mustang (Chevy or Ford). Can I get some that are made for a 1974 B210? Or do I have to make them myself? 70 goon
I doubt there will be any specific the the 210 made. Measure the axle tube diameter and buy any that are the same diameter. Quote Link to comment
B210GX
Early Jeep would be your best bet.. 1 3/4" wide but the axle tube diameter would be off Quote Link to comment
Morrisun
Here a link to an unlikely source, but these narrow ones, listed about, -a forth of the way down, and are for early Jeep axle housings- the saddle for the rear tubes is fairly close... http://woodys4x4.com/axles.htmThere maybe a 4X4 parts store in your area-Just a Monday brain cramp! datzenmike
I've made my own before and welded them on. Had a welding shop press me a length of steel plate into a flattened U shape twice the length I needed for one and cut it in half myself. Marked out the half round for the axle and ground it out. B210ratsun
Thanks for the help guys! I am really after a poly pad that sits on that piece of steel you guys are talking about. I am trying to make B210 leafs fit on a 510 wagon rear end and need new pads for the leafs to sit on. I found some on Ebay for a Datsun 1000, they are supposed to fit the B10 B20?? Not sure if they will work. I know Energy and Prothane both make them for Ford and Chevy. Any idea if any of those would work? Quote Link to comment
B210ratsun
Got the ones I saw on ebay coming from Japan. They were not that expensive and I got FREE shipping! They are 50mm wide which is what I need. I am still not sure if I am going to need new U bolts or not?? I am not sure of the difference in size between the axle tubes (b210 to 510) but I am assuming the 510 is larger where the springs sit. I plan to have the springs de-arched at a local spring shop, its the same cost as lowering blocks. I am really not trying to spend money here since I will ultimately get the flex form springs installed. I'll keep you guys posted in the other thread once the car hits the shop in a couple of weeks.
