theboraxkid
So, it turns out I have a vacuum leak caused the carb insulator in my '82 720. An entire chunk is missing from it. Where can I get a new one of these? Is it possible to make one? I can't seem to find any for sale anywhere. It's the weird plasticy piece that goes between the carb and the manifold. 1 Quote Link to comment

Tinman
If you can't get one.... jb weld and a file can do wonders. 1 Quote Link to comment

theboraxkid
I'm gonna try to patch mine I think, it's just the area around a bolt hole. It's less broken than I thought. Still waiting on a new carburetor, so I have time 1 Quote Link to comment
that-son
if you're going the jb weld route, use some non-stick or wax so it can still come off. i used black rtv for the gasket between the aircleaner and carb but sprayed pam on the air cleaner assembly. Quote Link to comment
