Recommended Posts

I have a snapped bolt holding the oil pump to the timing cover it seems the threads ride up into the pump any suggestions, also there are what looks to be score marks on the block from the chain, are those supposed to be there? and i noticed number 4 on her way down there is tiny spots of coolant in the bore? is it cracked at the water passage if so can it be welded from the inside? any tips? For the oil pump, remove the other three bolts and slide the pump off the broken bolt. Once off, you can use vice-grips to turn the broken part out of the timing cover.

For the groove worn into the block, no worries just get a replacement timing chain and guide kit.

Coolant in the cylinder bore was likely spilt taking the head off. I don't think it would be cracked.
