nickel&dime
I'm putting 280zx struts on 510 and I am not doing coil overs just a small 1-1.5 inch drop. What inserts do I get? Quote Link to comment
67_1600
I used the KYB GR-2/Excel G inserts and have been very happy with them. Quote Link to comment

67_1600
I'm pretty sure the part# is 365013 and they're just 280zx inserts. I got mine on amazon for a little over $30 each. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
If instaling uncut zx struts then use zx inserts. Better yet and easier, if the strut is original and has the factory hydraulic dampers still in it, just dimp out the waatery thin oil and replace with 20w or 30w motorcycle hydraulic fork oil. Thicker oil is harder to push through the small factory valves. Thefactory stting is maintained just firmer. I did this on my Maxima struts. Bellray 20W fork oil was $17 a liter and there is enough for three struts. ZX struts are already over an inch shorter that the stock 510 strut. This does not mean the ride will be lower only that you can go lower before the strut bottoms out. Quote Link to comment
