Auto choke relay necessary?

Hey all, I have a 720 with a webber 38(?) carb on it.  I have a electrical leak with the ohm meter and when I unplug the auto choke relay, it goes away.  Do I need the auto choke relay? My electric choke weber has been converted to a manual choke weber and I figure I can solve this problem easy peezy by losing the relay.  Any thoughts?

If you have an manual choke you don't need the relay. It's not active when the ignition is off so it's not a leak. If you have an unexplained current draw it shouldn't be the heater relay. Just unplug it
