how do i remove the lock key tumbler

so I need to replace the steering lock key tumbler in the ignition switch I have no key I bought truck with no key its for my 85 720 4x4 is there a topic on this on here some where thanks

I did the steering lock and ignition key on my '80.  It was easy.  I even found one on ebay for cheap (like $20 if I recall).  Basically, you remove the housing around the switch and a couple of bolts and you are in.  It was in my book, and I followed the directions there.  Got a book?

Or, get a key for it - one keys fits the doors and ignition. The code is on the right door lock cylinder. Some Datsun have it written on the glove box lid.

Here is a remake on ebay.  Mine was OEM, and about the same price. See how the ignition switch and the steering lock are the same piece? Replace the whole shebang, and it is easy and wonderful.

^^^This. Remove the passenger side door lock(if you can't find the code in the glove box) and take it to any locksmith that is worth their salt. They should be able to make you one(or 2 if you were using your thinker) in no time flat.
