rick240
I am building a F54/P90 engine for my 72 240z. I have a line on new-old-stock valve springs for a 2000 raodster. I recall being told (years ago) that these could be used in a Zcar. Can anyone confirm this (with authority)? Thanks, Rick Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I also have heard the Roadster springs are a nice upgrade for any L4 or L6 motor. Stiffer, higher revving. Stock springs on stock cam are still very good but if going to a slightly higher lift a stiffer one is better. I'll ask the guy who told me and get back in a few days. Quote Link to comment
rick240
Thanks Mike. I am actually going with a cam that is designed for use with stock springs. I just know where to find these, and don't know if I'll be able to locate stock L6 springs. I appreciate you going back to your source and re-verifying. Quote Link to comment

rick240
Yeah, I know i can find aftermarket - but I am trying to find Nissan OEM. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
U2000 Roadster springs were an upgrade for the L series motors. That's all he remembers. The stock L6 motor is red lined at 7K so presumably the springs are good to that with standard lift. Higher lift will need slightly more pressure to follow the cam. Quote Link to comment
