APRILIABILL
No I'm not a tranny... My kid, as some of you know, talked me into buying a 71/521. It has a 5 speed in it that is a little sloppy, and I'd like to buy some new shift bushings, problem is, not sure which transmission it has in it. It's a 5 speed with the reverse all the way to the left and 1st in the granny position, then 2-5 in an H pattern. Any Ideas??? Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Shifter bushings are $8 from Nissan. You'll only need the side bushings in most cases the bottom bush is good. Nissan 32855-H1010 Quote Link to comment
APRILIABILL
Well I tore into it this weekend. It may be a 200sx trans, but I'm not sure what this shifter is off. There wasn't any evidence that it ever had bushings or any or help at all, Just a wrong size bolt through it. I was able to amass some great parts and shore every thing up so it feels like new.... cj8281
Is the shifter different on this transmission than the regular 4 or 5 speeds? The only shifter I can still find is the one that came out of my '81 720 that was diesel. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The shifters are all different - different lengths, bends, etc But many use the same bushings, at least the little 56 transmission up to the big 71 transmissions. The shifters changed around 1982. Quote Link to comment
