datzenmike
Hard to follow a run on sentence without punctuation marks. Clear communication is very helpful when asking questions???? I assume there is a question in there although I don't see one of these ? Quote Link to comment
filthy forever
im in the middle of doing the same swap except with a single slammer. the napz tranny will bolt to the KA as it has the same bellhousing bolt pattern. motor mounts are something to figure out, I used a frontier one and a 240sx one, motor sits pretty level and clears center link and crossmember. so like datzenmike said whats the question here? DruDown720
Ok sorry I get a little excited when typing. Looking to see how much of the wireing harness I would need to use out of either the altma or the frontier? Now I have a ecu out of a 97 altma Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Don't use those. Find a 240sx from a yard and rape what you can from that. Intake, exhaust, ECU, engine harness. Quote Link to comment
DruDown720
What year 240 would work? the motor I have has the bulk head mount and it is out of a 99 or 2000 frontier Quote Link to comment
DruDown720
What about fly wheel and flex plate I was told I could use the maxima is this true or no Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The 240sx EFI wiring is a separate harness. The truck EFI harness is integral with the main engine harness and much harder to separate out. Find a 240sx and swap everything (efi/exhaust and all sensors to your Frontier motor. I think the 240mm Z24 flywheel and engine plate will work. A flexplate is what the starter ring and torque converter of an automatic bolts to. The plate between motor and trans is just an engine plate. The '85 and up Maxima with VG30 might have a 240mm clutch that might work but earlier L24 ones are smaller. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Research "White Bunny" mod for clutch/flywheel shenanigans. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yeah, that the one! Quote Link to comment
DruDown720
Ok it would almost be better to pull the whole 240 harness then, and just ditch the truck main harness and run the 240 for all the lighting functions then? Quote Link to comment
DruDown720
Now what about if the motor is a Cali emissions or a candein or New York? And what about the 240 parts s13 or s14 ? Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
What about it? Quote Link to comment
DruDown720
How do I get around the emissions I would love to just remove it all if possible that with the intake do I need both upper and lower and the injector rail? Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Are you in Cali? You just entered a completely different world. There is an emissions delete thread or two around here. Quote Link to comment
DruDown720
No live in idaho and the truck is exempt because of the age Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Easy peasy. Just Google KA24DE delete. You'll find it. Quote Link to comment
