GRpufnstuf
Hey all, I've been reading threads and trying to get my parts together for my new Trans swap. If I've read correctly, AND all my parts are stock I believe I'll be looking at a 200mm 5bolt flywheel when I pull that stuff out. I'd like to upsize to 225 if possible. I'm swapping the rear end to a 3.89 and expect I'll need to be slipping the clutch a little more to get rolling. I think the bigger disc would last longer Is that a possibility? Is there a 5bolt 225mm flywheel? What's a good brand of clutch? On my Volvos I always just use a Sachs, or I've sometimes had Ott's rebuild the friction pads once in a while. I won't have a ton of time for the truck to be down when I get this swap going so I'd like to have all the parts possible on stand by. Thanks Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yes there is a 5 bolt 225mm flywheel. But... It was standard equipment for one year only on the L18 powered, October '73 through August '74 620 trucks. Quote Link to comment
GRpufnstuf
Hmm, so I should invest in a good quality 200mm setup... Quote Link to comment
