tug33r Posted December 1, 2013 Report Share Posted December 1, 2013 i have a 1983 series 2 bluebird 910 the brake light and door ajar light on the dash are on all the time. all the door switches are fine and all brakes are good. anyone else had this problem? Tristin Posted December 1, 2013 Report Share Posted December 1, 2013 Do you have a service manual for the car? They could be on the same circuit path and you have a short or ground keeping your lights on. You could check if they are the same by removing one of the bulb holders. If you break the circuit, both lights should go out. Then you would just have to track down the offending short/ground. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 Our BRAKE light in the dash can be illuminated by pulling the hand brake or a loss of pressure in one or the other of the dual master cylinder circuits. Later models have a low fluid level monitor that also turns the lamp on. Because this is brake related and the single biggest and most important safety system on any vehicle, would you check both brake master cylinder reservoirs for fluid? Quote Link to comment
