datzenmike Posted November 23, 2013 Report Share Posted November 23, 2013 No. Although the L series and the Z series motors have the same bolt pattern spacing they are oriented differently to bolt to their respective transmissions. You can bolt the Z24 to an earlier L series transmission but it won't fit in the truck and work reliably or properly.. Depending on what 5 speed conversion you have, you could swap a Z24 and it's 5 speed into the 620. Quote Link to comment
