hopper
need a little info. I have a 1978 620 with a z22 engine. I am trying to hook my heater core back up. im not positive which hose goes where. the options I have are: hose end at block, hose end at manifold; hose end at heater core, hose end at t-fitting/valve at heater core. any help would be awesome. thanks, brien Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Hot water comes out of right side of block on the Z series motors. From there to the heater valve (aka Water Cock) from there into the heater. From the heater to the fitting on the underside of the intake manifold below the carb from there to the lower rad inlet to the timing cover that feeds into the water pump. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I might add that I don't think the direction of hot water flow through the heater matters much. Any more than taste is affected by turning a sandwich upside down. Quote Link to comment

hopper
nice diagram. I didn't think it mattered, but im going with the thought process of if Datsun did it one way, ima keep it that way. ive had enough coolant issues lol. thanks again Quote Link to comment
