millican
I popped the hood today about 550 miles from home after hearing some tapping noises - while the engine was off. I found a shaking pack rat with part of its tail bloody and hairless as well as some blood round the AC compressor. I can guess what happened. The noise was the rat's tail bone (sans skin and hair) shaking against the sheet metal! There was also a small nest. This guy probably rode with me from Tucson, Arizona to Rico, Colorado last night. What I'm wondering is, will putting some light (LED) under the hood keep these guys away since leaving the hood open usually works? Quote Link to comment
millican
Better than LED lights, it turns out that a little bit of Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap under the hood will keep it out. ...now to get it out of the garage before winter. Quote Link to comment
