JohnnyWas
Being as that the last time I attempted to weld anything was back in high school, I don't feel entirely comfortable tackling the installation of my McKinney Coilover Kit for my 280z all on my own. That being said, what could I expect as a ballpark price for installation by a professional mechanic / machine shop?? Seems pretty straight-forward, but I really have no idea what someone might charge / what to expect. Any input would be a huge help. Thanks guys! Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
A legit welder would do it cheap maybe 60 bucks for time spent, and than you can install it yourself right, if you have some basic wrenches ans sockets Quote Link to comment

TENDRIL
assuming that all 4 are off and brought to the welder, for an hours worth of work 60-80 bucks sounds about right.. Quote Link to comment

littlejason
Wait, are you shortening the housing? Quote Link to comment
TenafterFive
I usually charge $80 for a ratsun member to shorten them and reweld with Coilover perch. To just weld a collar on each I would do $40. Tig welded of course. Just make sure you get it done right. Your street cred drops when people look at a weld and it looks like a 5 yo did it. :) Quote Link to comment
