84720FourWheel
I apologize in advance for the lack of pics. So I bought a truck today, ($950!) and when i shut it off, it shuts down a little rough and sometime diesels a little. I figure its that little solenoid on the carb. (Been doing a little research) And it idles at around 1600 RPM and the factory sticker under the hood says 800 RPM So that should be able to be fixed my a throttle cable adjustment or idle speed screw. Correct? My main problem here, is that I need to take off the air cleaner assy. Any tips or tricks for this before I jump in? Also Z24 Engine Quote Link to comment

Not sure if it will fit though. Also, I'd like to get this one adjusted right, and save the weber for a rainy day. Quote Link to comment
bryant2482
yea just run it til it really takes a shit lol. i did that with my old Hitachi. i did have to change out the fuel solenoid but even after that the rpms were all over the place and it idled rough. you could also have a broken emission line or one that popped off. i would spray carb cleaner around the hoses and listen if it bogs down Quote Link to comment
