Ratwagon1600
Ok, I know I'm going to get flamed here, maybe. This gearbox was a spare which came with the 13b turbo motor/box combination I was going to put in my project car (4 door 1600). I've since decided to go with another power plant and before I offload the box I'm trolling the various forums I inhabit trying to ID it. I'm reasonably sure it's from a series 5 turbo motor, however, not 100% Any help, even abuse, always gratefully received :) Thanks guys (and gals) Jason Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Theres no markings on it at all? There should be some sort of Googlable set of numbers on there. Quote Link to comment

Ratwagon1600
OK, thanks to Tristin kick starting my brain I've found two separate numbers. Underneath the shifter housing, embossed in raised lettering in the metal are the numbers: M508 2 At the base of the shifter is a rubber boot with the numbers: M509 Based on my Internet searching thus far, the the M5 prefix refers to 5 spd. As for the rest of the numbers, at this stage FIIK :) More "Googling" to do. Quote Link to comment
