DeviousPsycho620
Hi all. I'm having an issue troubleshooting this. The engine starts and runs just fine. As i give it some gas, right around 3000 RPMs , it starts to bog down and lose all its balls. Any ideas or suggestion on what could cause this? Quote Link to comment
HRH
Basics. Check your fuel filter. Or fuel pump after that. Quote Link to comment
DeviousPsycho620
I believe my fuel filter is a cleanable one. So I'll check that tomorrow. How will i know if my fuel pump is not providing the right pressure? It runs fine at idle and does ok up to the 3000 rpm range. I've never had a fuel njected vehicle so I'm kind of at a loss. flatcat19
Find a service manual for the KA. I'm assuming you have a 240sx's ECM and wiring. Check fuel pressure into engine, key on and running. If that checks good then check MAF. Check/clean grounds-it is a Nissan after all. EDIT: I just went and found your truck's thread. DeviousPsycho620
FPR reads about 44 PSI at idle. Damn thing has 2 fuel filters. One is looking pretty old. Is it ok to run 2 glass fuel filters or does the one closest to the engine have to be special, because it looks like the oem one. I really know very little about cars/trucks and am trying to soak up knowledge from everyone. Fuel systems have never been my forte. Especially EFI engines. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Well, one good thing about computer controlled cars is that you can scan for codes. That should be priority. Quote Link to comment
