datzenmike Posted December 22, 2012 Report Share Posted December 22, 2012 Your profile says you have a '78. A 71 would be a 521. The earliest 620 was built in the early months of '72 (March I think) although they were likely called a '73 model year. Link to comment

datzenmike Posted December 24, 2012 Report Share Posted December 24, 2012 Well look on the door jam for the build date and get back. If made before Sept '73 and had a short 26" long 4 speed then the easiest 5 speed to instal would be the 200sx dogleg. It's the same length so the driveshaft would not need shortening but you will need to modify the rear tranny mount. If a '74 model year Oct '73 and up build date thaen a 280z/zx or 620 5 speed will drop in without any mods.Then to fit an early '73 Link to comment
