521 radiator?

someone told me i can use a 240-280z raidator in my 521? Were can i buy a new stock one?

I have never heard that before. Seems to me it would be very big. You can use a vw rabbit radiator or a custom size aluminum from jegs or summit.

I've also heard of running a Fiero aluminum rad too. The L20B would work as it's an L series but may be too thick. The 620s modified the rad support to fit them but ran clutch fans too. (I think) A non clutch fan like the 521 might have enough room. The L20B rads also came in 3 core to.

 

Here's an L20B rad support with the outward bend for room. The engine looks like an L18 or L16 without clutch fan. The 521 would be similar for space if you think it will fit.

mid 70,s rabbit radiator is the way to go I have been running one in my 521 for years now and it never gets "HOT" new they are less tan $100 dollars,wrecking yard about $35 articel for the install is here: http://dimequarterly.tierranet.com/articles/tech_rabbitrad.html I didnt even drill any holes Just use plastic standoffs (spacers from home depot or Lowes and sheet metal screwa

I'm using a scirocco radiator.

Works great. I just built a couple of angle brackets for it to set on. Bolted them to the core support.

That way the filler is the highest point of the cooling system (keeps air pockets out).
