Recommended Posts

Lets not start a which coast is better rant. :geek:

I was just saying that most buyers that have contacted me are on the west coast and shipping from the east coast is not cheap.

Dood I was winding you up! :poke:

Good luck with the sale, I totally want your engine and think it is well priced. I just wish I could buy it.

Thanks!

It will sell after the holidays.

Tell your girl she gets no presents but instead a cross country trip to Washington, DC so you can drive here and pick it up in person..

So I got off my butt today and pulled the valve cover again so I could Identify the cam.

It has these markings on it.

Crane - DA-272-2-10-NO

And on the bottom it says

D 62-50-87? The 8 is very faint and the 7 is not clear so it may not be a 7 but I think it is.

Based on how they mark their cams, it looks like it might be a 272 lift.

Crane does not make Cams for Datsuns anymore and I can't find specs for it.

This engine is going to be great for someone. Lots of performance goodies.

Crane Cam, Centerforce Clutch, even the bolts for the valve cover are stainless. Elephant Oil Cap, and a single points dizzy too.

I think the cam, clutch and dizzy are worth the price of the entire engine. I am starting to fell like I am selling it too cheap.

Buy it before I change my mind. :w00t:

I still have the engine. I got tired of getting shipping quotes for people that thought it might only be $100 -$150 to ship it from the east coast to the west coast.

Shipping to West coast was quoted at $450 to the terminal. You would go pick it up there. They would load it into your pickup. I will charge $50 to strap it to a pallet, shrink wrap it, load it into my pickup, drive it to the nearest terminal to drop it off (45 minutes each way)

I figure I can just keep it as a spare. They seem to be in high demand.

If anyone really wants it, figure $950 shipped to the west coast. $900 to other locations west of the rocky mountains, $850 to other locations east of the Mississippi

I figure I can just wait for a local buyer or keep it as a spare. They seem to be in high demand.

I would take this in a heart beat if you were closer. Hope someone buys this, this is a nice set up. $900 for a decent built motor for a West sider Rider is not bad, but than again rethinking Rebello or Troy Ermish motors...those are off the chain...but pricey.
